Sulfide-based SEs also offer acceptable mechanical strength, negligible grain boundary effects, and a moderate cost. Therefore, sulfide-based SEs, particularly argyrodite Li6PS5Cl (LPSC), are considered one of the most promising candidates for commercializing ASSLMBs.

Qingtao Energy, in collaboration with Jingdezhen Ceramic University and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, has developed a novel O/F co-doped argyrodite-based electrolyte that significantly improves cost, air stability, and lithium metal compatibility. This research provides a feasible path for the commercialization of low-Young’s modulus argyrodite electrolytes with a “low-cost, environmentally friendly, and high-performance” strategy, contributing to the advancement of the commercialization of all-solid-state batteries.
