Huawei will begin upgrading its HI Model to the HI Plus Model between 2024 and 2025. This is a new collaboration model, somewhere between the HI Model and the Smart Car Selection Model.
Huawei’s HI Plus Model redefines its relationship with automakers. Huawei is no longer a one-way supplier, nor a dominant player with full control, but rather an equal “deep co-creation partner” with automakers. Automakers, in turn, have become “joint leaders,” ultimately controlling branding and sales.
SAIC-GM-Wuling is collaborating with Huawei and is expected to release a new car this year. This collaboration may utilize Huawei’s HI Model, bringing Huawei’s advanced intelligent driving technology to the sub-200,000 yuan market. Previously, SAIC-GM-Wuling planned to launch an SUV equipped with Huawei’s ADS advanced intelligent driving system in 2025, priced at approximately 150,000 yuan.
Huawei’s HI Model has been successfully applied to multiple brands, including Changan Deep Blue, Avita, and Dongfeng Mengshi, with a steady delivery pace.
The cooperation between Huawei’s Automotive BU and GAC Toyota will be upgraded, with three new cars launched within two years – the Platinum 7 will be launched next year and equipped with the Hongmeng cockpit.
