In July 2025, new car brands sold 328,555 vehicles, accounting for 4.98% of global sales. These new car brands primarily focus on electrification, including Chinese electric car brands such as Leapmotor, Lixiang, Xiaomi, Xpeng, NIO, and AITO. These six Chinese brands sold 201,799 vehicles, of which AITO sold 41,702, Leapmotor sold 41,835, Lixiang sold 32,081, Xiaomi sold 30,332, Xpeng sold 34,024, and NIO sold 21,825.
Vietnamese car brand VinFast sold 11,724 vehicles, and American electric car brand Tesla sold 107,256. Other brands included Lucid, Rivian, and TOGG, which sold 984, 3,356, and 2,720.
