Volvo’s Global Vehicle Sales in August 2025

In August 2025, Volvo had sold 43,504 vehicles in 40 countries, accounting for 0.67% of its global sales. Volvo China had 10,802 vehicles, Volvo US had 9,800 vehicles, Volvo Germany had 3,760 vehicles, Volvo Sweden had 2,718 vehicles, and Volvo UK had 2,046 vehicles.

Volvo Cars released its third-quarter financial results, exceeding expectations, with an operating profit of 6.4 billion Swedish kronor, sending its stock price soaring by over 40%.

In an interview, Volvo Cars CEO Hakan Samuelsson stated that the company has announced plans to expand local production in the United States, with plans to begin production of the XC60 mid-size SUV at its South Carolina plant starting in late 2026. Currently, the plant primarily produces the all-electric EX90 and Polestar 3 models, but its current production capacity falls far short of its designed capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year.

Volvo Cars announced a free home charging program in Sweden, offering car buyers one year of free home charging service.
