On April 21, 2025, BYD’s high-end brand, Yangwang Auto, announced that its cumulative sales had surpassed 10,000 units, setting a new record for vehicles sold over a million units in China.
BYD Vice President Li Ke revealed that BYD plans to introduce the Yangwang brand to Europe, a plan that will commence after the Denza officially enters the European market early next year. She confirmed that the Yangwang U8 and U9 will be sold in Europe, with more models to be released in the future, including the Yangwang U7 super sedan. This four-motor vehicle will rival the Lotus Emeya, boasting 1,300 horsepower and a 0-60 sprint time of 2.9 seconds.
In August 2025, Yangwang had sold 419 vehicles in 2 countries, accounting for 0.01% of its global sales. China sold 417 vehicles, while Russia sold 2.
