According to GACO Auto, Toyota sold 701,914 vehicles in 40 major countries and regions in June 2025, ranking first globally. Volkswagen sold 413,549 vehicles, ranking second globally. BYD sold 367,323 vehicles, ranking third globally. Hyundai sold 312,416 vehicles, ranking fourth globally. Ford sold 292,405 vehicles, ranking fifth globally.
Toyota also became the world’s most valuable auto brand in June 2025, and BYD became one of the top three Chinese auto brands in terms of global value.
