BYD Group Achieved Revenue of Approximately US$52,073 Million H1 2025

In the first half of 2025, BYD Group achieved revenue of approximately US$52,073 million, a year-on-year increase of 23.30%. Revenue from the automotive, automotive-related, and other product businesses reached approximately US$42,427 million, a year-on-year increase of 32.49%, while revenue from the mobile phone components, assembly, and other product businesses reached approximately US$9,642 million, a year-on-year decrease of 5.54%. These revenues accounted for 81.48% and 18.51% of the Group’s total revenue, respectively. R&D investment reached approximately US$4,331 million, a year-on-year increase of 53.05%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached approximately US$2,175 million, a year-on-year increase of 13.79%.

BYD’s operating revenue for the first half of 2025 was approximately $52.1 billion, with revenue reaching approximately $23.9 billion in the first quarter and $28.2 billion in the second quarter. Its net profit for the first half was approximately $2.2 billion, with net profits reaching approximately $1.3 billion in the first quarter and $900 million in the second quarter. Clearly, BYD also faced the dilemma of “increasing revenue but not profits” in the second quarter of this year: revenue increased by approximately 18% month-over-month, while net profit declined by approximately 30%.

Overseas revenue reached $19 billion in the first half of the year, with the proportion of BYD’s overseas market revenue increasing to 36.5%, and a gross profit margin of 28%. BYD sold over 470,000 new energy vehicles overseas, a year-on-year surge of 132%, already exceeding its overseas sales for the entirety of last year.
