Solid-State Battery

Solid-state batteries (SSBs) are a new type of chemical energy storage battery in which the electrolyte is entirely a solid material, containing no liquid electrolyte or separator, among the three core components: the negative electrode, the positive electrode, and the electrolyte. They represent the next generation of high-safety, high-energy-density lithium-ion battery technology. SSBs offer higher energy density (longer battery life), higher safety (less prone to thermal runaway), a wider operating temperature range, and longer cycle life.
