Xiaomi Motors plans to launch a large D-segment hybrid SUV in 2026. The model is expected to be between 5.1 and 5.4 meters long, matching the dimensions of the currently leaked Xiaomi YU9. This suggests the Xiaomi YU9 could be officially released in 2026.
In September, Xiaomi Motors added 32 new stores in China, bringing its total to 402 stores nationwide across 119 cities.
Recently, photos of what appears to be Xiaomi’s third model, the YU9, undergoing high-altitude testing in Xinjiang surfaced online. The vehicle is reportedly in the late stages of development and is expected to be released in 2026. The YU9 will be equipped with Xiaomi’s first extended-range model and an 80-degree battery, promising a pure electric range of over 400 kilometers. At over 5.2 meters long and approximately 1.8 meters tall, it qualifies as a large SUV.
